Sparks Fly During 4th of July in Midtown Ala Moana

June 27th, 2019

Midtown Ala Moana will be a bright spot this 4th of July with fireworks and fun for the entire family. Here are some of our favorite 4th of July activities to do in Midtown Ala Moana:

Ala Moana Center’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular: Did you know that one of the largest fireworks displays in the country takes place right in our own back yard? The fireworks show is one of the top 25 in the United States each year, going off right off the shores of Magic Island. This year’s show kicks off at 8:30 pm with a live musical soundtrack playing on KSSK 92.3FM.

Live Entertainment: Get into the swing of things with some free, live entertainment. Ala Moana Center will host local musicians on two stages throughout the day including performances by Cory Oliveros, Hoku Zuttermeister and Maunalua.

Picnic at the Beach: Grab your family and friends for a day enjoying the beautiful summer weather and cool ocean waters at Ala Moana Beach Park! Grab a poke bowl from Keeaumoku Seafood or a plate of fresh tacos from King Street Tacos to enjoy after a quick surf sesh at Big Rights or an hour laying out in the sand.

Cool Off: Beat the heat with a cool treat… like shave ice! Some of our favorite haunts in Midtown Ala Moana include a visit to Uncle Clay’s House of Pure Aloha at Ala Moana Center for an order of their Strawberry Dream or a pit stop at the Ice Monster Truck located along Kaheka Street for some of their fresh Taiwanese ice.

No matter how you decide to spend the 4th of July – whether it’s a relaxing afternoon reading at the pool or a barbeque with friends – Midtown Ala Moana is the place to be. We hope you have a safe and festive Independence Day!
