GeekCraft Expo Hawaii 2019: Da Kine Indy Publishing Festival

October 12-13 2019

Each year, GeekCraft Expo creates curated, craft markets across the country, such as Madison, Wisconsin and Portland, Oregon. This is the first year GeekCraft Expo touches down in Hawaii and it’s shedding light on independent as well as small publishers and their creativity and passion projects. Everything for sale at the festival is created by indie or boutique publishers or is self-published—no middleman involved. So you know what you’re buying is truly someone’s labor of love.

Honolulu Marathon

December 8 2019

Lace up your sneakers and get ready to pound the pavement for this year’s annual Honolulu Marathon.  The 26.2 mile course takes participants on a scenic run across the island starting bright and early at 5 a.m. on December 8, 2019, for the fourth largest marathon in the United States. The course gives participants a scenic view of Oahu’s south shore, taking them from Ala Moana Beach Park through Waikiki, past Diamond Head and all the way to Hawaii Kai. And the aloha spirit truly shines through this event as the marathon is more focused on having fun rather than competition; so there’s no time limit and each participant gets a t-shirt and medal upon completion.
